Chicken, Haloumi & Chive Burgers
Recipe Tip
- Makes about 10 small burgers
- Preparation time: 5 minutes
- Cooking time: 6-7 minutes
Tip: Try adding grated Haloumi to your favourite burger mince for added flavor and texture.
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken, finely minced
- ½ 180g pack Lemnos Haloumi, grated
- ½ cup chives, chopped (about 1 bunch)
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- olive oil for frying
To serve:
- 1 handful salad leaves, washed
- tomato relish
- 10 small bread rolls
Method:
- In a medium bowl using a large metal spoon thoroughly mix together the chicken mince, grated Lemnos Haloumi, chives, salt and pepper. Use two spoons to shape the mince and Haloumi mix into small patties.
- Just cover the base of a large frying pan with olive oil place on a medium heat, add the patties. Flatten each one slightly and fry until golden on both sides and cooked through.
- Cut the bread rolls in half, add a little tomato relish, the cooked patties and finish with a few salad leaves. Serve immediately.
